So, we’ve had a look at renting somewhere and got nowhere really. The final straw was seeing a letter from our buyer’s solicitors saying they want to exchange this week and complete ASAP. We decided we are NOT being pushed by an impatient buyer into going into rented. We would have to sign up to a 6 month contract and if it’s all sorted in a couple of months end up paying 4 months rent and mortgage. We told the estate agent this and our buyers are now ‘staying with family’ in order to complete their sale. If they want to look to buy another house it’s going to take them a couple of months to go through that process anyway so they might as well wait for us (or rather the people we’re buying off).
