Prototype Trains

Here are some of the trains on the ECML I would like to re-create on my new layout –

1959 – WD 2-8-0 90224 on the Ganwick curve up slow approaching Hadley Wood North tunnel with a southbound GN ballast train (original image)
1960 – The prototype Deltic entering Hadley Wood station on the up fast with a mix of Gresley, Mk1 and Thompson carriages. (original image)
1960s – BR 9F 2-10-0 (with high capacity tender) on the up slow at Ganwick curve with the Cliffe to Uddingston Blue Circle cement train. (original picture)
1960 – Class 20 D8027 on the down slow from Hadley Wood North tunnels with an evening commuter service from Kings Cross consisting of two Quad Art units. (original picture)
N.B. Date doesn’t seem to tie up with the small yellow panel on the loco as these were introduced from 1962 onwards.

1965 - Blue Pullman DMU - Ganwick - running a test train between Kings Cross and Leeds

1969 - Class 47 (Brush Type 4) D1985 - Hadley Wood North Tunnel
1969 – Class 47 in two-tone green with full yellow ends on an early down freightliner just leaving the Hadley Wood North tunnel on the down fast onto the Ganwick curve towards Potters Bar tunnel. (original image)
